International Biblical Seminary began as a subsidiary of China Christian Evangelical Mission. In 1994, Reverend Daniel Bih and fellow ministers envisioned a biblical based theological seminary and slowly worked toward this new direction of mission. In 1998, International Biblical Seminary was established in El Monte, California as a Non-profit Organization, and is authorized to offer degrees in religious studies.
After Reverend Bih’s death in 2006, International Biblical Seminary was closed for two years. Upon the decision of the Board of Directors, it was re-opened on March 22nd, 2008. Additional Education and Management courses are offered to cultivate pastors, missionaries with multiple spiritual gifts, and bi-vocational ministers.
