3 池如淮Luke Chih

指揮家、作曲家、音樂牧師。威斯康辛州協和(Concordia)大學指揮碩士(MM)、即將完成音樂藝術博士學位(Doctor of Music Arts)。曾任教於大學及神學院，並任多間教會音樂牧師、台北國際社區合唱團音樂總監及指揮、管弦樂團指揮。亞太作曲家協會會員、受邀於世界各地擔任音樂會客席指揮、音樂專題講座客座教授。葛萊美獎及聖鴿獎評選委員。1998年受邀客席指揮於香港文化中心之新年音樂會；2001年講座於香港詩班節及北美、香港、台灣等地音樂研習會。擔任舊金山第一聯合長老會教會音樂節慶總監及主領。2002年一月一日復受邀客席指揮於香港大會堂之新年音樂會，亞洲首演Dr. John Leavitt之『節慶彌撒曲』。

Introduction
Prof. Luke Chih Conductor, Composer and Arranger, Master of Music, in Conducting, Concordia University, WI, has taught universities and seminaries and served as music minister for many local churches. He was the Music Director and Conductor for Taipei International Community Orchestra and Choir. As the member of IMCA, PMCA, CCA and voting member for Grammy Award and Dove Award he always busses to be invited as guest conductor for choral and orchestra concert, guest professor and speaker to universities amount the Asia.
He was invited to conduct a 80 members union choir with a ensemble Orchestra in New Year Concert at Hong Kong Culture Center, 1998, main speaker at 2001 HK Choir Festival and Music Director, March, 2001 and Conductor of Sacred Music Festival for First United Presbyterian Church of San Francisco, July 2001. He also gave 7 other seminar and choir clinics at US, HK and Taiwan. He also conducted at a concert at the Civic Auditorium for New Year’s 2002. At this concert, he give a premiere performance in Asia for Dr. John Leavitt’s “Festival Mass”. At year 2003, he was invited to be a guest speaker at First Church Music Seminars, Xia-Men, Fu-Gen, China. In 2007 and 2008, Chih was invited as guest conducting Hu-nan Symphony Orchestra; premiere a concert for all American Compositions. 2004-2007. 2008, He has been invited to conducting Her-nan Symphony Orchestra for an All American Music Concert.
He was professor of music and taught composition, conducting at Christ College, Taipei, Taiwan, Director of Church Music Department for Truth Theological Seminary, Arcadia, CA. In mid-2007, Luke accepts a position from California Graduate School of Ministries, served as associate professor and Director of Master of Church Music program. He also taught other Universities or seminaries such as Hong Kong Baptist University, HK; California International Theological Seminary, Alhambra, CA.
